Day Time Routine
I don’t have a routine per se, I like to just go with the flow, and give my skin what it needs. There are days when I don’t even wash my face in the morning especially when my skin was pampered the evening before. Often times, I just brush my teeth, spray rose water on my face or just about any other tonic spray I have handy.
Other days, I do a full on routine, though it may not seem like a ”full on” to some but to me it is plenty. The routine goes like this, wash my face with a gentle cleanser (I will be sharing all products I use), dry my face with a clean facial cloth using gentle taps, let it dry then start applying my products.
Post the wash, I always follow with some sort of serum/oil while my face is still a little damp as it is best absorbed that way. Then I follow with a moisturizer, and again the type of moisturizer I’d use would depend on what my skin needs that morning.
Following a certain protocol and having a routine is great and very helpful I know, however when it comes to our skin and bodies, my best advice is to just listen to what they need and just go with that. And if you are struggling with any skin condition, which we all do to some extent, I’d say be patient and give yourself grace as not everything is black and white.
I am sure you heard the saying that beauty is an inside job, the truth is, yes it is, but getting help on the outside doesn’t hurt either, so I’d always make sure that you are properly hydrated, minimize your fat intake, increase your CCC intake (clean critical carbohydrates) eat lots of greens and avoid dairy products. I will unpack the negative health consequences consuming dairy has on our bodies, but until then, make sure you check out the Products I trust if you are interested in what I have been using, loving and most importantly trusting.
